We’re pleased to announce that CloudPeek has joined the UK Government’s Software Security Ambassadors Scheme as part of its second cohort, alongside organisations including Capgemini, Fortinet, SANS, Thales and Zscaler.
We’re proud to be part of a programme bringing government and industry together to improve the security of the software businesses rely on every day. For CloudPeek, it’s an opportunity to contribute our experience, learn from others and help more organisations put secure software practices into action.
The scheme champions the Software Security Code of Practice, which sets out 14 voluntary principles for improving software security and resilience. As an ambassador, CloudPeek is committed to supporting its adoption and sharing lessons from putting those principles into practice.
Software security matters throughout the life of a product. From the first design decision to a new integration or dependency update, teams need to understand what has changed, which controls apply and what needs attention. Making that part of the change and delivery process helps organisations build and maintain software with greater confidence.
That is the practical approach we want to bring to the programme. We want to help teams connect security expectations with everyday delivery, so that developers, security specialists and programme leaders have the context they need to make informed decisions.
We also have a responsibility to apply those expectations to how we build and maintain CloudPeek. Our participation includes working towards the scheme’s supplier commitments, sharing our experience and contributing feedback to support the development of software security policy.
We’re looking forward to working alongside the other ambassadors and helping strengthen software security across the UK.
